Medal, 1880, WM, NASHVILLE CENTENNIAL EXPOSITION, Nashville, TN. So Called Dollar HK-591 White Metal, Rulau Tn-Na 42, NGC PR62, Cert# 2614268-002. RARE, Finest Proof Extant. Obv. Edifice; above, around Nashville Centennial Exposition; below edifice 1780-1880; Rv. Statue of man on horseback, on base of statue Andrew / Jackson / wreath--all within center circle; outside circle, around Tennessee Historical Society; wreath at lower border. Size: 40mm. Excellent field-motif contrast. Rarity-6, but only 2 proofs graded, this being the finest known. Purchased at the First Annual So Called Dollars Fellowship, April 3-6, 2014 in Dayton, NV from Jonathan Brecher, co-author and editor of the 2nd edition of the So Called Dollar Catalog. Virtually impossible to replace.
