Owner's Description
Bruce Fox says the 40S and 41S are the worst struck up coins of the S mints in the 1940's years. Would tend to agree. However, my grouping of MS coins proved that the 42S,43S and 44S coins also had very poor strikes on average. When I upgrade, it will be the 42S,43S and 44S coins. As a sidelight, this 1940S coin also has a reverse die crack that runs through the double L of Dollar and extends above the A and the R. Die cracks are sort of neat IMHO. And not too common on the Walkers in general.
