Owner's Description

This is another key coin that I added to my Morgan Dollar set. It is an attractive coin (for a grade) with full rims and a nice detail. Also, it is pretty clean with some hairlines but only a few bagmarks . Circulation mintage was 1,2 Million coins. Over the past 114 years, most of this original mintage has been lost to circulation or the massive bullion melts of the 1930's. Today, only a small fraction of this original mintage have received grades of AU50 or higher by NGC. Population 1 of 262 with 505 coins graded higher by NGC as of 2/2007.<br />I acquired this coin on 3/07/2006.
