Owner's Description

Finally I was able to buy this key coin for my Morgan Dollar set. It is a pretty tough coin to find in MS60/BU state, although the AU coins from that year abound. This MS62 1883-S Morgan Silver Dollar is white and Fully Struck with nice pleasing to the eyes luster. Some bagmarks on the obverse keep it from ascending to a higer grade (the reverse is a gem). However, bagmarks are a problem for 1883 S Morgan Dollars. The mintage was 6,250,000 coins. Population 1 of 427 with 610 coins graded higher by NGC as of 2/2007. Total of 3020 coins graded by NGC from that date). <br />I acquired this coin on 04/06/2006.
