Owner's Description

Pinnacle Rarities - (MS65FBL) A beautiful example of a difficult coin to get in gem quality. The strike is very solid with strong devices and bell lines. The toning is a subtle dappled gold over pale champagne, more prevalent on the obverse than reverse.<br><br />Generally speaking this is a rather difficult date to find without serious bagmarks according to Rick Tomaska and I have to agree as I have spent 2+ years looking for a clean example to upgrade from my MS64FBL. This is that coin. I firmly believe that this coin is a 65+++ and could easily rate MS66 designation on another day.<br><br />Also, this date may be a good example of a coin's population values being inflated due to resubmissions in an attempt to achieve that elusive MS66FBL designation as there are 382 in MS65FBL, but only 17 in MS66FBL (Both Services Combined).
