Owner's Description
$20 Double Eagle coins first minted in 1850 featured Liberty’s head, the first type, type 1 covered 17 years till 1866 and was without the “in God we trust” motto. This AU58 example has some nice remaining luster, good detail with very little wear and decent surfaces for a large gold coin that saw circulation. It is also a Civil War time issue.
