Both sides of this very lustrous gem exhibit beautiful pastel toning. Bright golden centers are surrounded by lavender, sky blue, and yellow with hints of mint greeen.
Comments:
The quality of the coins produced in Denver 1943 is amazing and it makes you wonder why the feat could not be duplicated in other years. In April 2008, I obtained 4 different 1943-D war nickels with similar toning patterns from a Jefferson Nickel Specialist Seller on E-Bay. All of the coins bore the same certification number which was evidence that they came from an original roll.
