Coin Description:
The current example is adorned by light golden toning on both sides. Despite the typical softness in step detail under the third pillar which so often precludes a full step designation, this coin is very well struck. All hair and queue detail are fully struck as are all of the windows and doors on Monticello on the reverse.

Comments:
While the population reports list 104 coins graded MS67 by both services, this collector has found it extremely difficult to locate examples with eye appealing toning. This coin is by no means a monster but it is a high quality and attractive example of the date/mm. I obtained this coin for a little over Numismedia Wholesale in a Heritage Internet Only auction in March of 2010.
