Owner's Description

The Ottoman Mint's production of 20 Paras went way up in 1911, creating the series' first common date in circulated grades. In Mint State, however, this coin is extremely difficult to locate as are all of the dates in this series. This coin is solid for the date and grade with a nice strike and luster, but the luster is more of a warm glow than the icy flash seen on other dates like the 1327/6 and 1327/2. It's more like that found on the 1327/5 issue, and very attractive. It's been interesting to see all of the different looks that different years have in this set as it varies greatly. There is a poetic justice to this coin as well. My girlfriend bought me the 1327/4, which was my first coin for this set. She also bought me this one, which was the last competitive issue I needed for 100% completion.
