Owner's Description

Lyman Allen #8.08 (KM #169) - Mintage: 1,010,000

With a mintage of just over 1 million coins, this can be one of the more difficult dates to obtain. Despite the scruffy appearance in the photo of the obverse, this MS61 graded coin exhibits a clean and brilliant surface with very good eye appeal. Notice the die cracks connecting the U in UNITED to the denticles on the reverse and between the E and N of TEN on the obverse.

Varieties:
--------------------------
ALLEN-8.08 - Normal date and mint mark.
ALLEN-8.08a - Over mint mark S/S. Multiple orientations exist.

Date acquired: 2/25/2008 (already graded by NGC)
