Owner's Description

Lyman Allen #4.07 (KM #164) - Mintage: 2,300,000

This coin is one of only 4 graded as MS64 by NGC with only one finer. PCGS has graded 11 as MS64 with only 3 finer.

Two styles of mint mark are seen on the 1917-S, a clear well defined "S" and a poorly defined, or "blob S." This one appears to be the "blob S" variety. This coins is otherwise very well struck. All of the devices on the obverse are exceptionally well defined as are the fingers on the right hand and the toes on the right foot of the figure on the reverse.
