Owner's Description

The 2010 Fifa World Cup Finals was hosted by South Africa. The final game was played on 11 July 2010 at Soccer City, Johannesburg. Spain defeated the Netherlands 1–0, after an extra time goal by Andrés Iniesta. The win gave Spain its first World Cup title.

Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga was awarded the commission of making the trophy (obverse). The trophy stands 36.5 centimetres (14.4 inches) tall and is made of 5 kg (11 lb) of 18 carat (75%) gold.
