Owner's Description

There are 598 biospheres globally, 74 of them in Africa and 6 in South Africa. The idea of a biosphere is to promote a balanced approach to the development of humans and the preservation of bio diversity in a particular region.

Approximately 750 of these coins were minted in a two part series (Fossils and People). The quality of the engraving on both the reverse and obverse is perfectly displayed while admiring this professionally conserved (NCS) coin .
