Owner's Description

Republic 2 Escudos, 1855-GW. NGC AU-55. San Jose mint, KM 99. Mintage of 60,000 pieces for both assayers of 1855. A fine example of this type with lettering on column and reverse arms well struck up. Slightly soft central features, as usual for this issue. The second finest certified of this date and assayer by NGC with finest being one level higher. Ex StacksBowers.
