Owner's Description

Republic 1 Escudo, 1853-JB. NGC XF-45. San Jose mint, KM 98. Mintage of 2,979 pieces. Very weakly struck through the center. An appealing example with a rare date, aged patina and bold details. Tied to the finest known, even if it is just an XF-45. The NGC census does not report any AU or mint state coins.
