Owner's Description

Republic 1/2 Escudo, 1851-JB. NGC MS-65. San Jose mint, KM 97. Mintage of 6,555 pieces. Choice mint state, brilliant uncirculated. Finest known from the Magnificent Richard Stuart Collection. Only two mint state pieces on the NGC record and the highest grade of the whole “Standing Indian” series for any denomination. A truly exceptional specimen, boldly defined throughout with great eye appeal. Extremely rare in this condition.
