Owner's Description

The Vam varieties of the 1880 CC Morgan silver dollars are very interesting. This coin is a vam 4 with the reverse of 1878. The reverse is well preserved demonstrating the concave eagle's breast. The obverse shows the 80/79 well also. The 1880 CC with the reverse of 1878 shows how the mint reused adequate dies from previous years and adds to the rarity. Finding this variety in such nice shape is very difficult. The population of this coin is also very low with none higher.
