Owner's Description

Mintage 10,366 making it the second lowest mintage of all twenty-four years that half eagles were struck at the Dahlonega mint. Scarce in all grades with less than 150 thought to have survived. Purchased June 1989 in a Stack's auction. Photos show the coin prior to certification.
