Owner's Description

Mintage estimated at about 82,000 pieces, the other 18,000 plus minted with this date being the Small Letter variety One of the more available New Orleans Half Eagles raking 11th out of 16 for the series. Purchased October 1979 in a Stack's auction. Photos show the coin prior to certification.
