Owner's Description

The 1889 B is one of the harder 1889 1/4 annas. For every 1000 1889 C coins I have seen being sold, only one 1889 B has been offered for sale. This coin can be distinguished from the C mint variety by the way leaves are present below the date. The 'B' mint variety has a leaf directly below the date "1889" on the reverse.

The highest grade for this coin in the NGC registry is MS 64 RB and is present as a part of this registry set.
