Owner's Description

The 1903-S is probably the best-produced S-mint Liberty double eagle of the 20th century: most examples have frosty luster and a good strike. Its mintage was a not overly substantial 954,000 pieces. Compare this to the gargantuan mintage of the 1904-S double eagle, for example, manufactured to the extent of more than 5 million coins.
