Owner's Description

There were only 5000 ’94-S half eagles minted and it is the least available San Francisco mint half eagle from 1877 forward. It is scarce in MS61 and rare in higher grades. The current coin is a very pleasing example with frosty mint luster and a strong strike. The color is an untoned wheat gold. Purchased from North Bay.
