Owner's Description
As is typical with many Philadelphia mint issues of the mid 1850’s, the strike is a little soft in the centers, affecting Liberty’s hair and the arrow feathers and claws on the reverse. The cartwheel luster is frosty and the color is honey-gold. There is a copper spot above Liberty’s bun on the obverse and on the eagle’s right wing on the reverse. Purchased from Doug Winter.
