Owner's Description

Milas Collection Pedigree. Winter Variety 1. This example exhibits yellow-gold color mixed with green-gold undertones. The frosty luster is plentiful and exhibits a pleasing cartwheel effect. The strike is strong for a ’51-C but does exhibit some weakness in the curls around Miss Liberty’s face. The die is rotated approximately 30 degrees counter clockwise on the reverse. The most interesting diagnostic for this variety is the small mint-made punch mark in the ear lobe; the so-called “earring” variety.
