Owner's Description
The Philadelphia 1861 half eagle accounts for nearly half of all No Motto $5 Liberty coins minted. As a result, it is the most available representative for a type set. The current example exhibits a strong strike and frosty cartwheel luster. The underlying color is orange-gold and the surfaces are highlighted with reddish overtones. Heritage 8/10: 5962.
Note: The Heritage website provides a better image of the reverse. I was unable to adjust the lighting sufficiently to get a good image of that surface.
