Owner's Description

The Philadelphia Mint produced over 72 million Roosevelts dated 1962 and millions of mint state examples survive in mint state condition.

The 1962-P here is bright white with great luster and eye-appeal. It has a great strike on both sides with no significant hairlines or spread in any of the lettering. There are also very fine details with terrific brow and eye features.

All of the torch lines appear to be full, defined, and uninterrupted. I sent this coin to NGC for designation review. But they disagree that this dime has a full torch strike. But there's no doubt, it's a close call.

Very light contact marks are present on both sides, but consistent with the MS 67 grade. And overall this is a very nice dime from Six Mile Rick for the collection.
