Owner's Description

The Philadelphia Mint produced over 100 million Roosevelt dimes dated 1951 and survival estimates for mint state survivors are in the millions.

The 1951-P in this collection has a beautiful bright blue-colored toned on both the obverse and reverse. There is also some darker tone on the coin, particularly on the reverse. And the blue color covers less than 50% of the obverse but the coin still has above average eye-appeal.

The coin has a good strike with fine details on both sides. The vertical and upper band lines are clear and defined but interrupted by small contact marks. The lower band line is not very well-defined and incomplete.

Light contact marks are present but consistent with the MS 67 grade. Overall, this coin doesn't have the highest eye-appeal, but still has an interesting blue color that's not too commonly found on Roosevelt dimes.
