Owner's Description

The 1950-S is generally considered a semi-key date among the 1946-1964 Roosevelt series. The San Francisco Mint produced about 20 million Roosevelts dated 1950, making it the fifth lowest minted among the series. PCGS estimates that only 150,000 survive in MS 65 condition or better.

This 1950-S is bright white and full of its original luster on both sides. There is one very light spot on Roosevelt's face to the west of his ear and two much smaller spots on the reverse around the olive branch. But this coin has very good eye-appeal in general.

It has a good strike with nice central features, but there are some light hairlines and some spread in some of the lettering on both sides.

Torch lines, however, are clear, well-defined, and uninterrupted. Significant contact marks are not present and overall I'd say this coin is appropriately graded at MS 66. A very nice dime for the collection from Six Mile Rick.
