Owner's Description

The Philadelphia Mint produced over 120 million Roosevelt dimes in 1947 and millions survive in mint state condition.

The 1947-P here is a bright white coin with good luster. There are some very light spots seen under magnification on both sides, but the coin's overall eye-appeal is good.

It has a great strike on both sides with no significant hairlines spread in any of the lettering. The dime also has sharp features with good eye and brow details on the obverse, and a really nice torch strike on the reverse.

All torch lines are all clear, defined, and uninterrupted. Very light contact marks are present on both sides but this coin is appropriately graded at MS 66. Overall, this is a very nice dime for the collection from Six Mile Rick.
