Owner's Description
The Denver Mint produced over 60 million Roosevelt dimes during its first run and uncirculated and mint state examples survive in the millions. The 1946-D is notable among the silver Roosevelt dime series as having several double die varity listings.
The 1946-D here is blast white that's 100% spot-free and full of luster on both sides with great eye-appeal. The coin has a good strike but some light spread in some of the lettering on both sides. Most noticeable is on the date and initials. Central features, however, are very sharp.
On the obverse, Roosevelt's eye and brow features are nicely detailed. And the reverse has a very nice torch strike with all vertical lines and upper band line on the torch clear and well-defined. The lower band line is barely visible and clearly incomplete. Still a very nice torch strike.
Overall, this dime is appropriately graded at MS 67 and nearly has a full torch strike. A very nice Roosevelt for the collection from Six Mile Rick.
