Owner's Description

1881 PROOF 68* CAMEO 25C. One of the few proof 1881 Seated Quarters to receive an Ultra Cameo designation. The eye appeal is breathtaking with solid field-to-device contrast and a bright, untoned sheen. Every last feature is full brought up by an obviously powerful impression, and the surfaces do not reveal a single blemish. The 1881 is a popular issue from the final decade of Seated Quarter production. Only 12,000 business strikes were produced, along with 975 proofs. The coin in this lot is one of the ultimate representatives of the latter. FINEST KNOWN.
