Owner's Description

This is the last year of the Gothic florins and is very scarce in the higher grades. This particular coin was very difficult to photograph but a scan had produced a very dark ill-defined image. However the coin is actually very attractive in the hand with subtle light golden lustre round the obverse inscriptions .The reverse has a semi proofike finish trying to shine through the darker toning. Slightly weakly struck to the reverse. Nonetheless second in the Population Report and sourced as a private purchase from the U.S.A. from a discerning collector.
