The 2002 Olympic Salt Lake City Silver Dollar was issued to commemorate the 2002 Winter Olympic Games that were to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The obverse shows the crystal emblem of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. The reverse shows a skyline of Salt Lake City with the Rocky Mountains as a back drop.
DID YOU KNOW? Leann Rimes sang an opening ceremonies song "Light the Fire Within". The official song of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

The obverse designed by John Mercanti, shows a snowflake like image with the year and the Olympic rings. The reverse was designed by Donna Weaver and sports the image of the Skyline of Salt Lake City against the Rocky Mountains.
