CYPRUS, SILVER 45 PIASTRES 1928
Commemorative coin issued by the Royal Mint on the 50th anniversary of British rule in Cyprus.
OBVERSE: Crowned bust of King George V facing left. B.M.(Bertram Mackennal) in relief on the truncation.
REVERSE: Two lions passant guardant, adopted from the badge of the Governor. K.G.(Kruger Gray) in relief below.
DESIGNER: Obverse: Edgar Bertram Mackennal. Reverse: Kruger Gray.
DIAMETER: 38.7mm
EDGE: Grained.
WEIGHT: 28.27g
FINENESS: 0.925 (Sterling Standard).

Brilliant and attractive GEM, fully struck and lustrus with an amazing emerald toning on the obverse.
