CYPRUS, QUEEN VICTORIA 1 PIASTRE 1881H THIN 1.

OBVERSE: Young head of Victoria facing left and wearing a coronet ornamented with oak leaves and scrolls.
REVERSE: 1 within a beaded circle.
ENGRAVER: Leonard Charles Wyon.
DIAMETER: 32 mm
WEIGHT: 11.66 g
EDGE: Plain.
METAL COMPOSITION: Copper 95%, Tin 4%, Zinc 1%.
MINTAGE: 18,000
RARITY: Very rare, extremely rare in UNC condition

1881H PIASTRE THIN 1 MS 64 RD

A very choice and appealing example. Clearly among the finest of the whole series.
Brilliant and attractive with very sharp strike and perfect surfaces. Finished with wonderful red original luster.
NGC: The single finest and the only one designated RED.
