Owner's Description

I was not able to match up this coin with any of the varieties listed in Fortin. From the position of the date and the mint mark it comes closes to F-124, but none of the die breaks and clashings this variety calls for are present. The coin itself is well toned with good luster and I would rate the strike as above average. There is one interesting anamoly at 9:00 on the reverse. There is a bit of metal flow between the leaf and the rim almost like a continuation of the downward point of the leaf above. I will look to Gerry to make a final determination of the variety. Bought from Bill Nagle, November, 2005.
