Owner's Description

F-102, Type II reverse. Not much to go on in identifying the variety, but on the reverse the tip of the ribbon on the lower left is polished away. This is the attribute of the G-103 which Fortin equates with his F-102. A rare (R-5-) coin but not in the same league of difficulty as some of its predecessors. Both PCGS and NGC have graded one coin MS-68, while NGC has graded the only two MS-67s. Well struck with good detail throughout, the coin's lovely toning give it good eye appeal. Bought from a Bowers and Merena sale, November 2002, lot 1241.
