Owner's Description

F-103, type I reverse. Colorful toning on the obverse give this coin strong eye appeal and a merited "*". But it is not the strongest MS-67 on record due to some minor spotting on the reverse. The services have graded four other coins MS-67 and one MS-68, all of which might be superior to this coin. A fairly easy variety to identify from the doubling on the reverse and the missing lower back foot on the E in ONE. In the coin's defence, the type I reverse is somewhat more difficult to locate. Bought from Jason Carter, December, 2005.
