Owner's Description

F-105a. All the characteristics of this die pair are present as listed in Fortin. Most notable are a small die scratch in the shield on the obverse under the B in LIBERTY. Also a noticeable die line in the outside leaf on the lower left of the reverse. Heavy mottled toning makes the coin difficult to photograph, but the many beautiful colors are quite attractive. Greer rates the coin R-6- in mint state. There are however eight MS-67s acredited by the services, four at PCGS and four at NGC. Bought from RARCOA, March, 2001.
