Owner's Description

F-101, the date downward sloping. Most be a somewhat early strike, as the vertical die break bisecting the obverse mentioned in Fortin, is present on this coin mainly on Liberty's bust and abdomen with just a hint of it up towards Liberty's head. Another R-7 coin in mint state, with just two coins graded MS-66 (both by NGC) on top of four MS-65's at NGC and two MS-65's at PCGS. Other than the slight die break just mentioned there is just one dark spot near the first S in STATES, otherwise perfect. Beautiful light toning. Bought from the Bowers and Merena auction of the Lindesmith Collection, March, 2000, lot 381.
