Owner's Description
F-103, ex-Stellar. The obverse is well struck from rusted dies, but devoid of any marks. The action is all on the reverse where the die seems to be on the verge of collapse. There is the defining heavy die crack through the final S in STATE(S) back through the E and on to the upper leaves. It seems like every letter in the legend is connected by some sort of crack to the rim, the most noteworthy of which starts at the rim above the R in AMERICA, and runs down through the ICA. These letters are heavily rusted and the final A is close to being polished away. Pop 1 in MS-65 at both services. Bought from Jason Carter, July, 2004.
