Owner's Description

In issue #109 of the Gobrecht Journal experts in Liberty Seated coinage were asked the question what dates do you find difficult to find. Gerry Fortin answered with four different seated dimes of which surprisingly this was one. He said he was trying to find one in MS-65 or MS-66 which was not white. I obviously have had the same problem. While this coin is a PCGS MS-66, it is one of the few coins in my set that is bright white. F-105 with a light die crack on the reverse between the end of the right ribbon and the edge. There is one small mark on Liberty's left thigh right at the base of the pole, otherwise the surfaces are pristine. Bought from a Heritage auction, October, 2004, lot 13790.
