Owner's Description

F-104a. Large O repunched with a die crack bisecting the reverse from the I in UNITED to the C in AMERICA. At MS-67 it is tied with one other at NGC, but behind two coins graded MS-68. PCGS has graded only one coin MS-67. Star 8 on the obverse is noticably repunched. The repunching of the mint mark on the reverse is more subtle with just the hint of an outline below the normal placement. A lovely coin with a decent strike and natural toning. Bought from a Bowers and Merena auction, August, 1999, lot 1314.
