Owner's Description

Mintage: 59.9 Million
Full Step Availability: 0.5%
Population MS67: 17/0
Date/mm Information: Most mint state coins are attractive and lustrous but not well struck and full steps are rare.

Coin Description:
Light grey-gold toning blankets both sides of this well struck premium gem. Some planchet roughness appears on the focal areas of the obverse but it does not diminish the visual impact of the coin.

Comments:
Another small population top pop from the mid 50's. I will buy coins like this every time they become available. Eventually, the rest of the numismatic community will realize that quality of this magnitude really is rare for 1950's Jefferson Nickels and there are not hundreds of these waiting to be discovered despite the existence of original rolls. I got this coin for a $100 from a Bowers & Merena auction in March of 2009.
