Owner's Description

Mintage: 20.5 Million
Full Step Availability: 3.3%
Population MS66: 238/45
Date/mm Information: Quality was spotty at best and well struck eye appealing gems are scarce.

Coin Description:
A wondrous Jefferson with scintillating eye appeal. The obverse shows incredible bands of lime green, fuchsia, tangerine at the peripheries that yield to ice blue, lavender, and peach at the center. Thought you were done, oh no. The reverse is just as dramatically toned with peach, violet, periwinkle along with ultra thin bands of gold, pink, and green. Not done yet, incredible luster makes this coin glow like a rainbow beacon leaving no doubt that you find a star designation. This coin is so pretty, it should probably have two stars. If only is was a 67.

Comments:
Don't attempt to adjust you monitor, the photo is in focus. The comination of an incredibly weak strike, fantastic luster, and extensive die wear creates an optical illusion the coin is blurry and out of focus. Remarkably, the steps are almost full despite the fact that the strike is so weak that the hair detail is almost completely missing as are most of the windows and doors on Monticello. What is indisputable is the incredible eye appeal of this coin. It is so pretty that I seem to have misplaced by purchasing information on the coin and have no idea how much I spent on that E-Bay auction at some time in 2009.
