Owner's Description

1881-CC GSA $1 NGC MS-66 165 in 66(14 in MS-67, none higher)*

*There are also 2 MS-66PLs and 4 MS-66DPLs.

Semi-Proof-like, with a slight contrast between the white portrait of Liberty and the glistening fields. The coin is stone cold white with frosted raised devices. The strike is sharp, as is expected for this date. Liberty’s face is exceptionally clean, and if it were not for four light lines in the left obverse fields (especially one next to Liberty’s neck) this coin could qualify for the MS-67 grade. The reverse is flawless and at least MS-67 quality. Two small dark carbon spots are visible to the lower left and right of the first two numerals in the date. With original box and certificate.
