Owner's Description
There are no rim nicks anywhere on this coin and it has honest wear. It was weakly struck on the left obverse which accounts the the apparent uneveness of the wear but the wear on the reverse shows that this is not the case. It has what appears to be an original skin on it and the tape residue on the reverse is barely noticeable in hand.

The is the perfect low grade early type coin for someone on a budget like I am. This is a $1685 ebay purchase from typecoin on 11-12-07.

First year of the type and entire denomination.

*************
1796 DIME
*************

Mintage:
Circulation strikes: 22,135
Proofs: 0

Designer: Obverse by Robert Scot, reverse by John Eckstein

Diameter: ±19.8 millimeters

Metal content:
Silver - 89.2%
Other - 10.8%

Weight: ±41.6 grains (±2.7 grams)

Edge: Reeded

Mintmark: None (all examples of this date and type were struck at the Philadelphia Mint)
