Owner's Description
Purchased from Mark Feld 10-19-07 for $800

Essentially color-free with highly pleasing satin-like surfaces and a bit more flash than many Type l examples display. Mint-made did striations can be seen on each side when the coin is tilted properly under a good light source. They are not particularly unusual but are mentioned for the sake of accuracy.

***********************************
1852 THREE CENTS - SILVER
***********************************

Mintage:
Circulation strikes: 18,663,500
Proofs: 1 known

Designer: James Barton Longacre

Diameter: ±14.3 millimeters

Metal content:
Silver - 75%
Copper - 25%

Weight: ±12.4 grains (±.8 grams)
