Owner's Description

What a leadoff coin for my Walker Half Short Set! This coin exhibits an incredible combination of colors - gold, orange, red, purple and burgundy – on both the Obverse and Reverse. The strike is good and the contact is at an expected minimum for the grade. Accurately graded by the professionals at NGC, I would only add a star to this coin’s label as the eye-appeal is fantastic…so much so I was willing to pay a bit of a premium for this otherwise relatively common date/mintmark. The only drawback will be finding coins of this level to complete this set.<br /><br />I do not normally find too many coins on eBay for this set that fit my criteria, but this coin is a pleasant exception. This is, in fact, the only coin that I have purchased for this collection from an eBay seller. It is coins like this one that often make me wonder who the collectors that owned this gem were and how was it stored over the years to end up in its present state. I am fortunate to be the current owner and to have the great pleasure of being able to share it with anyone visiting the Registry.
