Owner's Description

I am thrilled to have acquired another wonderfully toned Walker from the folks at Northeast Numismatics. They described it as having “pretty sunset toning on the Obverse of this colorful, original gem” and I could not agree more though I would actually say spectacular is the appropriate adjective for the quality of color on this coin. Vibrant tones of red and purple glisten on the periphery of the Obverse surface and are enhanced in quality by a remarkable underlying mint luster. The Obverse tone is the hallmark of this coin, but there is a subtle hue present on the Reverse too that adds to the overall eye-appeal. The strike is good, though not above the average level. Contact is quite minimal with the very few marks overshadowed by tone. I believe this coin is slightly under graded as a MS65, but only slightly given the strike characteristics. The bottom line is I am pleased to add such a beautiful coin to my collection regardless.
